In November 2016 we launched our pioneering childcare concept – quickly tagged by the news media as “Neuro Creche” – when we opened our new Daycare in Waterloo. In March 2017 our daycare in Tervuren-Vossem was opened.
The internal layout, decorations, and equipment in our daycare’s are based on scientific research into how the visual stimuli received by babies condition the development of their brains, and our designs optimise that development.
In both daycare’s we employ staff speaking at minimum English, French and Dutch, so children are exposed to all languages throughout the day. English is the main language of the daycare, in addition we invite parents to specify which language they wish us to use with their child – this is based on proven scientific research showing that early multi-lingualism increases and accelerates brain development.
Our Tervuren-Vossem daycare is located next to the ISF International School Tervuren campus. Our Tervuren daycare occupies the entirety of the original village nursery school building and has been renovated and designed to enhance children’s visual stimulus in a scientifically positive way. This daycare is licensed for 46 children aged from 6 weeks old. Opening hours are 07.30 to 18.30.
At the end of their journey in the daycare, the children are welcomed from 2,5-years-old to Pre-school at both ISF International Schools.
